This is an excellent little camera but following the setup instructions that came with it, almost led my wife to send her gift back in disgust. These instructions tell you to install the software CD onto your computer before plugging in the camera to a USB port. If you do this, you will be burdened with a bulky, clumsy, barely usable User Interface/Web UI with the sole purpose of selling you additional Kodak products and services and, in the process, preventing any other, more useful program from getting access to the camera driver for viewing or downloading images. Trust me, this software makes iTunes seem sleek, and unintrusive!

After struggling for hours with the Kodak software, the included manual, the downloaded User Guide, the downloaded "Extended" User Guide, and the online tutorial, we gave up and did what we should have done in the first place. We uninstalled all of the supplied software, re-booted, and plugged in the camera again. And yes, Windows 7, recognized the camera, located and installed the necessary driver and offered us a selection of access methods for viewing and downloading pictures, using our own software, such as PhotoShop Elements, PhotoImpact, Windows Photo Gallery, and Media Player.

You also need to know that the available "barebones" memory of the camera holds no more than a dozen pictures. To avoid a disappointing gift experience, you should add a card with a couple of gigabytes of SD memory (or microSD with an adaptor) to be plugged in as soon as the camera is unwrapped.

My wife and I owned two Brother HL-2040s before this and had no trouble with either the hardware or the driver software. We replaced the printers when the time came to replace the drum, which was essentially a cost-effectiveness decision.

We also have a Brother MFC J-415W and love it.

In summary, I'd give this thing a 4 1/2 if it weren't for the printer's integration with Windows 7. And, honestly, I don't know if this is Brother's fault. I installed the HL-2240 drivers provided with the printer (following the normal quick start process..) on my Windows 7 x64 PC for testing purposes and I still can't print to it. For my wife's machine (also Windows 7 x64), I just plugged in the printer and loaded the driver from Microsoft and it works fine. I don't understand it.

My wife is the target user and that's all that matters, but this was still very, very aggravating.

Also, Brother needs to move into the 21st century regarding the installer for its downloaded software. The process of exploding the archive is very antiquated.

I first bought the Samsung wireless laser printer for under $100, as the reviews said, it never worked wirelessly after the first print. I returned it for this beauty. The setup was incredibly easy, plug it in, download the software from the disc, and your ready... in all about 5 minutes. Some reviews said it was loud and the fan stays on... the printer is no louder than any other printer and all laser printers have fans, this one is pretty quiet, and doesn't stay on longer than a couple minutes after the last page has printed. The printing is incredibly fast and the quality is exactly what I was looking for. If you are printing text, it is perfect; I wouldn't recommend full page black and white photos though. I've had it for only a couple days, so we'll see how it lasts. It is compact, looks good, and the price is perfect, I highly recommend this printer... so far.

First, I'm going to discuss my motivation for buying a new printer. With my HP color printer, you can't print in black ink if some of the color cartridges are empty. I don't use it as often as I had planned because of the ink expense. I wanted to print pictures that I took with my camera. Now I mostly print documents. Lately, there are constant messages about low ink and it can take a few minutes to figure out next steps to get past the ink warnings just to print one page. The pages print fine, but I'm busy and it shouldn't take so much time to print an occasional document in black ink. I sometimes avoid printing pages when it would be more convenient to have a printed copy. I don't use it to print many pictures because of the ink cost. Family members who aren't as computer savvy call me to help with the HP printer asking what to do next to get past the warnings.

In contrast, printing with this new printer has been a real pleasure. The set up on my windows 7 computer was quick and easy. It prints much faster and is far less noisy than the HP printer. The best part is that I can send a page to the printer and it prints right away. The ink cost will be much less than the HP printer. There will only be one ink cartridge so there will be fewer warnings. When it gets low on ink, I'll buy one new cartridge not 6 (for the HP printer). I expect this printer to be much easier to use and maintain.

These are made of plastic but they are well designed/made. The turn wheel is rubber on the inside and helps the seal. They also come with top and bottom sealing lids, although the bottom doesn't feel like a good seal. You can also put the included measuring cups on the bottom which feel like a better seal. I would not recommend this for long term storage. I'm using mine for cereal and it works well with just a little crushing as you turn the wheel.

Well this assembly is convenient and utilizes space very well. It doesn't look half bad hanging on the wall either. It was not very expensive and does the job intended. It has a simple construction and it is quite easy to disassemble and put back together for cleaning. Each compartment has a rubber lid to help keep airtight. The plastic tube of the compartment is thick, rigid plastic. I would imagine it could break if dropped enough times but haven't personally experienced any issue. Each cylinder has several spaced notches in the sides so you can adjust the position vertically in it's holder.

The part forcing the stored product to the bottom when you turn the handle is a rubber flapper mechanism. This is probably the secret of it working well because the flapper will bend and contort allowing the product to transport without getting stuck. As others have mentioned in these reviews, you can't put stuff granulated or fine like sugar or flour, and certainly not liquids. The product needs to be coarse like macaroni or coffee beans.

Minuses-
The bottom also has a rubber stopper but they tend to not be on very tight and one is very loose and falls out into the cup, ever since we took it out of the box. I ordered this product directly from Amazon so I probably should have arranged to replace it but never did.

Another minus is the method used to secure the cups that come with it. They use friction, where you twist the cup a little to get it to stay on the bottom of each compartment. I would like to see a locking mechanism or simple grooves to screw them on like the lid on a jar.

I do find my wife not using it as much after the novelty wore off but they still function as they did new, and I recommend this product for the purpose of storing bulk dry goods.

These dispensers were uncomfortable to re-fill and the material is not very good....It's easily breakable and the transparent containers turned dull, making it less attractive for your food items in the containers. I used it for less than 2 months...

I bought these mugs choosing to selectively ignore the reviews that mentioned a "strange taste" that emerges as a result of continued usage of this product. This was a big mistake on my part! For the first week of use, I loved the mugs. They look sleek, they keep the liquids inside warm for 4-5 hours, and the seal is airtight and never leaks. I do not drink coffee, and was using these mugs primarily to drink tea that I brew using a french press each morning. For those of you who drink tea, you can empathize with me in that a significant part of the joy in enjoying loose leaf teas entails relishing the subtleties/complexities of the specific leaf being prepared. Well, this was no longer possible by the end of the first month using this mug. I can't tell what it is that I'm now tasting each morning; plastic residue, mold, who knows? I wish I could return the mug at this point, but I've kept it too long for that. I'm assuming the "bad taste" is coming from the lid, because as other reviewers have mentioned, it is near impossible to clean the underside of this component part. Right now I'm trying soaking the lid in soapy water to see if I can once again taste the underlying notes of my tea brews, but I am not hopeful.

had to get new ones bc the old one started leaking...i like the mugs, everything breaks every once in a while... i think they're a bit over priced but they are good, and proof of that is that i bought the same model. Gotta say though, not the easiest thing to clean...the lid is dish washer safe, but even when i do that, it comes out a bit dirty with little pieces of dried coffee around the corners...
but overall, i like and recommend them.

These are nice stands, Im very happy with them. With that in mind, I thought Id write a review to give a few thoughts. The wire management system could not have been cheaper. They literally found the easiest, cheapest, crapiest way to make it. Its two thin sheets of plastic that are supposed to slide in place but dont. If you get them on, they will probably pop off like mine did. I just took them off and put two small pieces of black duct tape on the back and the wire nor tape is visible. The holes that are pre drilled for the top plate are too fat and once I got the screws in, you could still pull the top right off with ease. I took 2 longer screws and used them, problem solved. I also thought that the base of these would have a little more weight to them. all in all I am happy with this purchase and even though it took a few days to get used to having them, I now love them. They hold the speakers at the perfect height.

You need Philips head screw driver for 2 very long screws that hold the base on and slightly shorter screws for top plate. If you do not drill out the holes to slightly larger diameter you will struggle to screw the screws the last 6 mm. They have to be tight or an other point of potential wobble Is introduced. So I got a blister. Maybe an electric screw driver would have worked. Ok I say all this because your suppose to find this kind of furniture easy. Usually you get nice hex screws and they give you a little hex tool. That's a snap to put together because you can turn the tool on it's side and use it to apply more force and you don't have to worry about tearing the head off of a very long Philips head screw. Yes I could have took this down to my shop and it would have been a "snap". But you who have little tools would not hear this. I used the rubber feet not the rug spikes. Seemed to work better for me. They give you both. I used little rubber cushions they gave you for top plate. They also give you spikes for here. I like my speakers too much. They look nice. The box they came in was pretty beat up. One pillar had a slightly scuffed area front curved side. I am over all happy with them for the price. I bought these here on Amazon.

    This plant stand holds 6 plants in a relatively small space. I ordered 2 of them and put them side by side in front of a set of French doors which aren't used for entrance or exit. It looks nice, and the plants get plenty of sunlight. I am very pleased with them.

    Good purchase for this price. Arrived quick and was liitle bit hard to assemble.
    I'm using it outdoor for the summer and for the winter I'll take it home.
    Overall it is better for plants to have theur own place in the garden.
